Section 2 — Sizing & Selection
Q6. How do I choose the right model?
Tell us these four things and we will size the system for you:
- Which appliances must run — list them with wattage (lights, fridge, AC, water pump, machinery).
- How many hours per day each appliance runs.
- Available solar — roof or ground area.
- Backup requirement — how many hours of autonomy you need during an outage.
Quick reference scenarios:
| Scenario | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Daily household load, self-consumption | Home Flex-6KW (10 kWh) / Flex-10KW (15 kWh) |
| Remote home, fully off-grid (fridge + AC + kitchen + lighting) | Home Flex-20KW (60 kWh) |
| Rural small business — mill, workshop, mini-market | Station Stack-20KW (40 kWh) |
| Factory / mall / office backup power | Station Stack-50KW (208 kWh) or Core-100KW (200 kWh) |
| Large industrial park, solar plant + storage | Station Core-250KW (500 kWh) or Core-500KW (1000 kWh) |
Q7. How much storage capacity do I need?
Estimate it as: total appliance wattage × daily running hours ÷ usable depth of discharge. As a rough guide, a 10 kWh system covers evening lighting, a fridge, fans, TV and phone charging for an average home; a 60 kWh system can carry air conditioning and kitchen loads through a full night. Send us your load list and we will run the actual calculation.
Q8. Can the system run fully off-grid?
Yes. All three series support both on-grid and off-grid operation. In the event of a grid failure, Home Flex switches to stored energy in 10 ms, so connected appliances keep running without interruption.
Q9. Which energy sources can be connected?
- Home Flex — solar PV and AC grid (or generator) input.
- Station Stack / Core — smart ports accept solar PV, grid, diesel generator and wind turbine input, so the system works with whatever power you already have on site.
Q10. How long does solar charging take?
Charging time depends on panel capacity, sunlight hours and battery size. Under standard conditions a full Home Flex charge takes roughly 4–8 hours of good sunlight; Station systems commonly recharge within one sunny day. We provide a project-specific estimate once we know your panel array and location.
Q11. Can I expand capacity later?
Yes. Station Stack and Station Core support AC-side and DC-side expansion, so you can add power or storage as your load grows. Home Flex is available in preset packages (Basic / Optimized / Premium) or custom-configured — we size it with future expansion in mind from the start.
Section 3 — Installation & Operation
Q12. How difficult is installation?
- Home Flex — designed for simple installation. The four-wheel floor-standing chassis means no complex civil work; connect the panels and the load and it is ready to run.
- Station Stack / Core — handled by a professional installation team. Because the power electronics (PCS, MPPT, STS, EMS) are integrated into one unit with separated AC/DC sections, on-site commissioning is significantly faster than building a system from separate components.
Q13. Where can systems be installed?
| Indoor / outdoor | Operating temperature | Altitude | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home Flex | Indoor or outdoor (IP66) | −10 °C to +50 °C | ≤2000 m (derate above) |
| Station Stack | Outdoor, open-air (IP66) | 30 °C to +50 °C (per datasheet) | ≤5000 m (derate >3000 m) |
| Station Core | Indoor (IP20) | 30 °C to +50 °C (per datasheet) | ≤5000 m (derate >3000 m) |
All models tolerate 0–95% humidity, non-condensing.
Q14. How loud is it?
Home Flex runs at ≤55 dB — quiet enough to sit in a living space or outside a bedroom window. Station Stack and Core run at ≤70 dB, typical for industrial equipment rooms and outdoor plant areas.
Q15. How do I monitor the system?
- Home Flex — LCD + LED display on the unit, with optional mobile app monitoring (WiFi or GPRS) and RS485 communication.
- Station Stack / Core — touch LCD screen plus EMS communication over RS485 and TCP/IP; BMS communicates via RS485 and CAN. Remote supervision of state of charge, load, alarms and energy flows is supported.
Q16. What routine maintenance is required?
Very little. Station systems use key components selected for maintenance-free operation and optimized thermal management; Home Flex uses intelligently controlled fan cooling. In practice, maintenance means keeping air inlets and outlets clear, checking connections periodically, and monitoring performance through the display or app. Detailed maintenance schedules are provided in the user manual.
Section 4 — Safety, Quality & Certifications
Q17. What battery cells are used, and how long do they last?
All systems are built with A-grade lithium cells, rated for 2,000+ charge cycles under standard conditions. Station systems add a thermally optimized pack design and continuous BMS supervision to protect long-term cycle life. For a model-specific cycle-life figure, please consult your sales representative.
Q18. What safety protections are built in?
- Home Flex — six-layer safety protection covering everything from cell to system, including DC reverse-polarity protection, plus aviation-grade anti-mis-insertion connectors between the inverter and battery.
- Station Stack / Core — quality cells, real-time intelligent BMS monitoring, fault-state recovery, and multi-layer redundant control in the hybrid inverter.
Q19. What certifications do the products carry?
Intenergy products carry CE and UN38.3 certification (UN38.3 covers lithium battery transport safety for air and sea freight). Additional market-specific certification — such as SONCAP, PVoC or other national conformity schemes — can be arranged depending on the destination country. Please confirm the requirement for your market with your sales representative.
